Middle School Matters
- Middle school is a big deal – new faces, new expectations, and new pressures. This 8-week group helps middle schoolers develop the skills and confidence to thrive socially and emotionally during this major transition. This group is interactive, age-appropriate, and designed to be fun and supportive.
- Who: 6th-8th graders in or around Russell County
- What: A skill building group to help students learn to:
- Make and keep friendships (And how to be a good friend in return!)
- Navigate peer pressure
- Build confidence in social situations
- Practice navigating conflict (Learn some tools to deal with the middle school drama!)
- Cope with school-related stress and overwhelm

Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support Group
Miscarriage and the loss of your child can feel incredibly isolating. It is a heartbreak that no one should have to carry alone. This support group for moms offers a safe, understanding space to share your stories, honor your grief, and find comfort among others who truly understand. Guided by a Marriage & Family Therapist Associate, this group provides compassionate support, gentle coping tools, and a community of hope for those navigating the deep pain of loss. You are not alone. Your baby’s life matters here.
- This is a very short group, consisting of 4 sessions, once per week, tentatively beginning in September, depending on how soon the group fills.
- At this time, the group is only for women who have experience a miscarriage or the loss of a child under age 1 in the last 12 months.
- Depending on interest, there may be future groups which may include bereaved fathers as well. Additionally, there may be groups planned for parents who are further along in the grieving process.
- If you would be interested in being part of a support group, but your loss occurred prior to the last year, or you are a male, please contact me.
- In this group, participants will:
- Be invited to share your story in a safe, supportive space
- Learn to navigate grief and emotional triggers
- Find ways to honor and remember your baby
- Learn gentle tools for difficult days and milestones
- Explore ways of navigating conversations with friends, family, your partner, and other loved ones who may not understand
- Discover glimmers of hope and meaning in your journey after loss
